Moravian Filter Wheel CCD-EFW-3S-7 for G3 series CCD cameras
The motorized filter wheel offers seven places for narrowband tricolor filters ([O III], H-alpha, [S II]) and LRGB filters.
The wheel accepts 7 filters size 2" or 50/50.8 mm and is compatible with the Moravian off-axis guider, making it perfect for LRGB and narrowband tricolor photography.
Many astrophotographers prefer having all their filters combined in one unit. Common are 3x narrowband ([O III], H-alpha, [S II]) and LRGB filters. In this filter wheel, all seven filters can be inserted together, so it is the perfect solution for remote control!
Trouble-free adaption
Together, camera and filter wheel are extremely short. The entire distance is 33.5 mm from sensor to the outside of the filterwheel front housing.
The filterwheel gets its power and control commands from the camera from only one cable with RJ45 connector.
The filterwheel is directly screwed to the camera. Even then, there is enough space left for using telephoto lenses with the EOS-EF-Adapter.
Necessary Software
SIPS software controlls the filterwheel and is included in the package, also the drivers for MaximDL and AstroArt are included.
As a few cameras cannot control the filter wheels, the manufacturer offers a Tool for configuration of internal and external filter wheels of G2, G3 and G4 CCD cameras. The name of the link is: Gx camera filter wheel configuration tool
Alternative: Send the camera to APM for attaching and configuring of the filter wheel. If you have bought the camera from APM, this service is free, except shipping.
Important hint!
If you order a filter wheel, please make shure to let us know:
With this, Moravian deliveres the correct filter wheel to the series partly, the series are not compatible to each other and can change from time to time.
