APM / LZOS Astrograph 115 mm f / 5.25, 42mm image circle, 3.5 "Starlight Focuser
APM-LZOS 3-lens SuperED astrograph in a new special package with Riccardi M63 reducer
The dew cap is screwed and slidable for the purpose of shorter transport length and ends in the front area with an inner panel, which effectively suppresses dew in the optics over a longer period of time.
The 3.5 "focuser works with a high-precision rack that is adjustable with the drive pinion and can be rotated by 360 ° without any play. The possibility of rotation without play is particularly important in photography to first set the focus and then to determine the best section by rotating .
The 50 mm viewfinder bracket is attached to the extension itself with a quick-change device, which is so precisely worked that it remains constantly adjusted even after the viewfinder has been changed several times.
The extension ends with a reducing adapter 3 "-2" with clamping ring and an adapter 2 "-1.25" with brass clamping ring. The complete extension with viewfinder holder can also be rotated through 360 °, so that the viewfinder can always be brought into the most comfortable position for you, the attached and focused 35mm or medium format camera can always be rotated into the desired position, but also so that you can take your star diagonal with you You do not have to loosen the eyepieces when you change the position of the sky, just turn the extension. The rotation and the focusing drive can be clamped using a hand screw.
The pipe clamps are made of black powder-coated, CNC machined aluminum and come with a flat base, a central thread 1 / 4-20 "and 2 outer threads 1 / 4-20" with 60 mm hole spacing (Astrophysics standard).
The TMB 115 F / 7 is not only a wonderfully powerful visual apochromat for observing at low magnifications and planets and binary stars at high magnification with the highest contrast, but also, with Riccardi Reducer M63 reduced to f / 5.25, an excellent astrograph. This system with the specially matching field flattner / reducer generates a fully illuminated and corrected field for full format CCDs and generates pin-fine star images right into the corners, even with the latest larger CCDs.
With the Riccardi Reducer M63 the focal length is reduced to 604m, whereby the focal ratio is reduced from f / 7 to f / 5.25. The fully corrected image circle is 42mm.
