TS-Optics Super Plössl with 12 mm focal length
A standard eyepiece frequently used for viewing galaxies, gas nebulae, compact star clusters and of course also details on the moon. For some telescopes with a long focal length (like Schmidt-Cassegrains) the eyepiece also offers a very good magnification for observing the main planets.
The advantages at a glance
Significantly better workmanship than standard eyepieces which often have only 2-3 elements.
No "tunnel vision" through 52° apparent field of view.
Multi-coated on all air-to-glass surfaces for maximum contrast and a bright image
Blackened lens edges to prevent reflexes
1.25" barrel with thread for 1.25" filters
Foldable rubber eyecups - ideal against stray light and as a safe rest for your eyeglasses (no scratches)
High contrast and fine internal blackening make the TS Super Plössl eyepieces suitable also for astrophotography. Focal lengths up to 20 mm can be used very well in eyepiece projection adapters.
Particularly bright image
For successful observations, it is often essential how much light reaches the observer. Especially when watching weak nebulae and galaxies, the light transmission often makes the difference between visible and not visible.
The eyepieces offer a very well balanced transmission. They have no colour cast. Especially in the range where the human eye is very sensitive, the eyepieces also provide maximum brightness. This guarantees maximal successful observations.
