TS Optics Giant Off Axis Guider with 50mm clear aperture and only 10mm lengthfor high payloads
Fits directly to the 3" correctors by ASA (Astro Systems Austria)
The TS Gigant Off Axis Guider can, thanks to its versatile adaptation options, be used with nearly all kinds of telescopes. Its design has been made especially with the 3" ASA correctors in mind. They can be screwed directly to the OAG resulting in a solid combination and only 10 mm OAG height. It accepts even heavy cameras and filter wheels up to 10 kg.Individual adaptations to other systems are possible.
Advantages of Off Axis Guiding
An off axis guider puts, compared with a guide scope with tube rings, far less weight on the mount. Differential flexure is no topic at all; eventually occurring mirror shifts are compensated automatically.
Further characteristics
Connection to the telescope
ASA 3" Newtonian correctorrs
The TS Giant off axis guider fits directly to the 3" ASA Newtonian correctors. The bores of the ASA3KORRR (reducer / corrector) and ASA3KORRW (Wynne corrector) align exactly. The guider is screwed to the corrector using M3 screws. Three mounting angles (3x 120°) are possible for optimal positioning of the guiding tower.
Individual adaptation to all common correctors, flatteners and focusers
Adapters can be made to measure of your corrector (TSO-TSG-OAGAdap). Please give the thread dimensions.
Connecting cameras / filter wheels to the off axis guider
A recommended connection is the M48 (2" filter) thread. The adapter ASA3-M48 has only 4mm optical length.
Individual adaptations to other threads
We can manufacture camera side adaptations according to your specification.
