Speers Waler wide angle eyepieces combine a very high contrast, light transmission and field sharpness, even on fast telescopes. Comparative tests with much more expensive eyepieces of similar field of view always give good marks to the Speers Walers.
Speers Walers are suitable for the following telescopes:
The eyepieces can be well used on Newtonian telescopes down to f/4.5. The eyepieces are suited without reservations for all common refractors, Schmidt-Cassegrains, Maksutovs.
With their 8-lens optical design the Speers Waler eyepieces offer a well corrected field of view of 78°. The eye relief is good and kidney-beaning is barely existent.
• The eyepieces are fully multi-coated and have blackened lens edges
• Each eyepiece comes with removable rubber eyeguard to keep out stray light
Speers Waler eyepieces are very versatile. With their ultra-large field of view they are of course ideally suited for deep sky observing. Dobsonian users in particular value the large field - it means that they need to move the telescope less frequently!
But Speers Walers are also very well suited for observations of the moon and planets. Contrast and image sharpness are very good.
Speers Waler Eyepieces have a large lens diameter and are suitable for eyeglass wearers The safety undercut prevents the eyepiece from accidentally dropping out of the focuser.
